Runner-up Ray was signed by Sony BMG in January and jetted off to the States to record a swing album at LA's Capitol Records Tower.

His debut album Doing It My Way was released in March, on the same day that fellow X Factor finalist Ben Mills released his album, but Ray beat Ben to the No. 1 spot.

He's due to tour the UK in October and has been a judge on the new ITV show Baby Ballroom.
