MacDonalds defy Simon: X Factor's best moments
In one of Louis and Simon's most memorable long-running battles, Simon tried to boot Louis's duo the MacDonald Brothers off week after week, saying they couldn't sing.
In the live shows the boys - who performed at clubs and weddings before X Factor - defied Simon by upping their game and winning the Scottish vote.
They eventually came fourth.
