Interview: Jennifer Maguire and Jenny Celerier
What do you think the traders in Marrakech thought of you all?
Jennifer: I think they thought a spaceship came down! We all got out with all these cameras and were running around like lunatics. They didn't know what to think. And that was very difficult because it's one thing bartering and negotiating in a souk, but it's another when you're doing it with a full camera crew and drawing a lot of attention to yourself. They were lovely people, but there's a lot of poverty there so it was a very hard place to be in and stay focused.
What was the strangest thing you had to find on your list?
Jenny: The most difficult thing on that list was a blue cactus, because seemed to know what a blue cactus was. But the kosher chicken was always going to be a huge issue. We were in a Muslim country with one tiny Jewish quarter and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
What do you think Sir Alan is going to do with two cowhides and four tennis racquets?
Jennifer: I have no idea.
Jenny: Maybe he's got some sort of playroom at home or something.
Jennifer: Out of all the tasks, I think this one was the most ridiculous.
