Interview: Jennifer Maguire and Jenny Celerier
It's a double value interview!
The two Jennies were given their marching orders on this week's show. Here's what they had to say for themselves...
This week's episode was my favourite so far. Where did all start going wrong for you?
Jennifer: I think it went wrong as soon as I stepped off that plane. I think my face said it all; I looked deranged with tiredness. I think the lack of preparation was the start. Plus I knew what Claire was like in a team that she wasn't project manager for, and I regret not pulling her aside and having a one-to-one chat with her. If I could turn back the clock and do anything different, that's what I'd do.
While you were running around the souk, collecting your items, did you have any idea what on earth Jenny and Michael were up to?
Jennifer: We had the odd phone call. But it was such a mad environment and we were both so busy that we had no idea what was going on. But what happened with the tennis racquet thing… Jenny didn't do anything underhand. She thought she was doing a great thing. She thought she was the next Apprentice after that one.
Jenny: I thought Sir Alan would give me my crown after that. I thought he'd really appreciate my nitty-gritty negotiation skills, but unfortunately he didn't.
Do you think he'd have appreciated them if you'd been successful?
Jenny: If I'd been able to do it, I'm sure he would. But he'd have waited until I'd got into the boardroom and then given us double the fine just to be extremely horrible and nasty, and to get me out as soon as possible. He changed the rules to get me out of the competition; I don't know if anyone noticed that. He didn't bring two people back into the boardroom, which is the normal process. So I'm sitting there, I've barely got my arse on the seat, and then I'm fired. I'm like, "You're not playing by the rules! You told me off for not playing by the rules, and now you're breaking them yourself".
