Rod Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster will appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Blonde model Penny - who competed in the hit dance show in 2007 - will perform the cha cha cha with professional Matthew Cutler while Rod sings his hit 'Same Old Song' on the BBC ballroom dancing show. A source said: "Penny is really excited. She can't wait - she's been practising like a demon."

The show will be filmed at the top of the Blackpool Tower - a change from its usual setting in the BBC's London studios - and Penny is getting nervous about performing in front of the judges again.

The source added to The Sun newspaper: "She's quite nervous. She feels like Cheryl Cole performing on 'X Factor' - hopefully the judges will be as nice to her afterwards."

Penny was eliminated in week six when she appeared on the show after a salsa with partner Ian Waite.

Meanwhile show host Bruce Forsyth has revealed he spends most of Sunday in bed because the programme tires him out so much.

The 81-year-old entertainer - who travels from the BBC studios in White City to his home in Surrey after filming every week - said he gets up early the next morning because he still has so much adrenalin pumping round his body, but take naps throughout the day.

He told Yours magazine: "Last Sunday, for instance, I got up at 6am. I watched television until about 9.30am, then went back to bed for a few hours."
