'Emmerdale' star Dominic Brunt was once accused of throwing bread at a fan. The actor - who plays vet Paddy Kirk in the ITV soap - says a woman once asked for his autograph during a meal and when he asked if he could give it to her when he'd finished, the lady wrote to the show's producers making horrible accusations. He said: "I never mind fans saying hello - it's viewers who keep you in your job. A woman once asked me for my autograph when I was in the middle of a meal with my family, and I politely asked if I could give it to her a bit later.

"A few days afterwards, she wrote to the show saying I'd thrown bread at her and made her kids cry! So now I never turn anyone down."

Dominic also revealed he would never eat food from the show's Café Hope because he doesn't know how long it's been sitting out.

He said: "I try not to touch them. Actually I wouldn't touch anything in there, because you have no clue how long it's been hanging around. Could be a day, could be a month."
