Mercury Prize nominations announced

The list of nominees for this year's Mercury music prize were announced this week, with nods to Florence and the Machine, Kasabian, Bat for Lashes, Glasvegas, La Roux, Speech Debelle, The Horrors and Friendly Fires among others. Lily Allen was reportedly upset she wasn't included for her latest album.
