Jude Law and Lily Cole grew close when she asked for acting advice.

The 20-year-old model met the 'Alfie' star when they both worked on new movie 'The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus', and romance blossomed following a series of discussions between the pair.

A friend of Lily's revealed to Britain's Grazia magazine: "Lily respects Jude and asks his advice on acting projects and techniques. It's all quite thespian and serious craft talk.

"They also discuss charity work a lot. Lily is determined to put her fame to good use and Jude likes that about her. They talk quite a bit about how they can help with green issues and poverty in war-torn areas."

However, a friend of Jude - who was recently seen kissing Kimberley Stewart - doesn't believe he is serious about his new romance.

The source said: "I get the feeling Jude doesn't necessarily want anything too serious.

"That said, he's very impressed by Lily's intelligence."

Jude, 35, and Lily - who is set to begin a degree in social and political sciences at Britain's prestigious Cambridge University - first sparked rumours they were dating late last month, when they were seen enjoying a Radiohead concert in London together.

The following week, Lily was spotted leaving the actor's West London home after spending the previous evening with him.
