"It's Britney, bitch." These words heralded the most talked-about pop comeback since Madonna donned her purple leotard and filmed her Hung Up video in the style of Beverley Callard's Rapid Results. Unfortunately, though, the world is gossiping about it for all the wrong reasons.
Over the past couple of years, Britters has taken refuge from her awful marital problems in shaving her head and going out on the lash like Oliver Reed at Christmas. And we feel quite sorry for her. However, perhaps she should have put in a bit more effort during her MTV VMAs performance of Gimme More, instead of going up on stage and tottering around like a hen party on three-for-two Breezers night at Brannigan's. Gimme more rehearsal time, more like.
